Services for the Settlement Point Ferry in Port Macquarie have returned to normal after an incident involving a boat around 8.50am today.

The traffic incident occurred on the river's northern bank around 8.50am, according to a social media statement from the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council – services were returned at 12.05pm Tuesday, January 15.
Residents were advised to use Hibbard Ferry until further notice to cross the Hastings River, while the ferry was cleared.
The Settlement Point Ferry would usually carry 21 cars per trip from 6.30 am to 9.50 am on weekdays, and 8.00 am to 6.50 pm on weekends and public holidays.
