That's the outlook for the Port Macquarie-Hastings for the week.
Meteorologist with weatherzone Jacob Cronje says the chance of rain is being caused by unstable tropical air.
"We have an inland low pressure trough bringing heat to the interior and bringing down unstable tropical air which is helping create the moisture," he said.
"You can expect to get some rain on Monday in the form of showers, but probably not thunderstorms.
"There was a light sprinkling of rain overnight (Sunday).
"For the Port Macquarie-Hastings, the best chance of thunderstorms is Thursday afternoon and evening."
Mr Cronje said there was also the chance of very light showers each day.
He said the outlook for NSW was "pretty stormy" but mainly over the interior and the ranges.
For Port Macquarie-Hastings, minimum temperatures will sit around the 20 degree mark this week with maximum temperatures ranging from 28 degrees through to a top of 31 degrees on Wednesday.
"The upcoming weekend looks to be pretty sunny and calm," he added.
Monday will see south easterly winds starting to turn north easterly overnight Monday. The north easterly winds will remain in play through to Thursday.
Winds will again turn south easterly or south westerly on Thursday.
Port Macquarie Lifeguard supervisor James Turnham said there was an incident-free weekend with just minor first aid injuries reported.
"There was a couple of assists for some swimmers drifting out of the flag areas," he added.
Mr Turnham said conditions are a lot cleaner to start the week but that is not expected to last long.
"North facing beaches will be your best bet today,” he said.
"Water visibility is still poor and lifeguards and volunteer surf lifesavers urge swimmers to swim to your ability."
