With just days to go, organisers of the community-based event are busily preparing to cater for some 300 to 400 people on Christmas Day.
The event is at Town Beach and will go ahead rain, hail or shine.
The Big Red Bus volunteers are ready to produce a wholesome breakfast of pancakes, smoothies, fruit and tea and or coffee.
This is the ninth year the event has been held.
It starts at 7.30am and continues through to 10am.
Organiser and spokesperson for Big Red Bus Ian Rosendahl says the breakfast is open to anyone and everyone.
"Put simply, this day is about providing a place where people can come along and enjoy each other's company," he said.
"Christmas can be a joyous occasion and full of family and friends but for some, that is not always the case.
"For us, this day is for people who may be alone on the day, and that can be for a variety of reasons.
"Our theory is that no one should be alone on Christmas Day."
Our theory is that no one should be alone on Christmas Day.

Mr Rosendahl said many people in Port Macquarie would be surprised by the number of people who do spend Christmas by themselves.
He estimates between 300 and 400 will be attending the breakfast.
"OzHarvest has been sourcing foods to be used on the day and they are doing a wonderful job within this community," Mr Rosendahl said.
"One of the features of our breakfast is that everyone relaxes a bit and enjoys having a good chat with people.
"This is about sharing with others and looking after others in your community.
"Everyone should open their arms and enjoy their Christmas."
Mr Rosendahl said he had received strong support from volunteers who will be catering from their popular Big Red Bus.
The event is on rain, hail or shine.
Along with pancakes, there will be smoothies, fruit and a hot cup of coffee or tea to enjoy.
Mr Rosendahl said many of the volunteers still missed the traditional Christmas on the Beach lunch.
That event ran for some 15 years under the guidance of Karen and Max Davies.
"A big shout out to Karen and Max for all their efforts," he added.
