It is the first time four TAFE NSW Mid North Coast locations have joined forces to exhibit their final works.
TAFE NSW Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Macksville and Wauchope students studying courses across the Design, Fashion, Visual Arts, Film and Gaming disciplines banded together cleverly to create a lively and colourful event.
Lorrae O’Brien, TAFE NSW head teacher, Creative & Design Ideation said the students – many of whom graduate this year - were delighted to showcase the best of their artistic talents.
“This exhibition is one of the biggest of the year for TAFE NSW and it has come together beautifully thanks to an immense effort by our Mid North Coast creative design and ideation students. They really enjoyed celebrating what they have achieved from the many hours of hard work, focus and fun throughout their studies,” she said.
“Our students come from all walks of life. Some are straight out of school and looking to start a business, others know they need to upskill to keep pace with their peers, and some are looking to reskill and change careers. One common thread is that they followed their passion into studying with TAFE NSW.”
Courses covered by the exhibition include Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games, Certificate IV in Design, Certificate III in Screen and Media, Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging, Certificates II and III in Applied Fashion Design and Technology, and Certificate III in Design Fundamentals.
TAFE NSW Port Macquarie hospitality students also showcased their skills last night, serving finger food and conducting bar service as part of the practical real-world experience and training their course offers.
