Rounds at Johns River and Bago will be no more, with the Port Macquarie/ Mid North Coast Rally to debut instead on October 26 and 27.
The round will use some of the stages run at the former rallies.
AMSAG president Michael Bannon said the merge will maximise availability of drivers and avoid conflicting schedules with Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS) sanctioned events.
“The organisers of Bago said they wanted to do it at the end (of the series) so we came up with this arrangement.
“Both events used shared roads so rather than have two events, we’ve made a two-day event to close out the series.
“It couldn’t go on first as it was conflicting with other events,” Michael said.
The Mid North Coast will also play host to rounds four and five.
The Bulahdelah Rally is slated for Saturday, July 27.
It will run in the same format of a single day/night event, which has been the case in previous years.
There will also be a short course option to run the daylight stages.
The newly formed Coffs Harbour round will be held on Saturday, September 28.
Meanwhile, Rally NSW has confirmed Nabiac Motorsport Complex will host the first round of the 2019 NSW Rallysprint Series on Sunday, February 10.
Round two will be contested up the road on Saturday, March 9 at the Hastings Rallysprint.
Bulahdelah will host round three of the NSW Open Rally Series on Saturday, June 22.
Round three of the NSW Development Rally Series, NSW Hyundai Rally Series and NSW Clubman Rally Series will also be contested on the day.
Drivers in these categories will descend on Kempsey for the Clybucca Rally on Saturday, August 24.
A competitor's best five results from the seven rounds in each series will count towards their final point score.
