The Mid North Coast Ford Owners Club, Hastings Old Holden Club and the Mid North Coast Chapter of the Mustang Owners Club (NSW) came together to host the event at Westport Park.
The event was a major fundraiser for the Hastings Support Group Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and people came from all over NSW to support the cause.
Mal Bisby from Taree is the owner of a 1977 Ford Escort and was at the event to show off his vehicle.
He said he has been driving the Escort model since he was 18-years-old.
Mal has owned the 1977 model for 15 years and labelled the maintenance of his car as ‘work of love’.
Mick Brownlow, secretary of the Hastings Old Holden Club and committee member for the event helped with the judging of vehicles at the event.
Mick said cars were judged on their originality and ‘muscle car attitude’.
“We’re also looking for passionate owners of the vehicles,” he said.
Wauchope resident and 1968 Chevy Camaro owner Mark Hammer said the event was a great opportunity to view a variety of cars.
Mark imported his vehicle from America a year ago.
He said it doesn’t take much work to maintain the vehicle.
“The only drawback is that it does chew through a lot of juice (petrol),” he said.
Trophies for the best cars were presented by category and manufacturer. There were raffles, trade stands and pin-up girls.
