The November 8 event will focus on ensuring quality, person-valuing and community-building aged care in regional and rural communities.
The panel will feature Omnicare general manager aged and disability services Julie Dunn, Emmaus facility manager Janet Reay and Bundaleer Aged Care Services My Home Life project coordinator Julia Trendall.
The workshop will discuss perspectives and innovative ways to celebrate our elders and create inclusive, caring and sustaining communities.
Mid North Coast Human Services Alliance is auspicing the workshop which will be a vehicle for education and sharing ideas.
The Mid North Coast Human Services Alliance is a partnership of community-owned, non-government organisations which work to support the sustainability of health and human services in the region.
The alliance’s motto is educate, advocate, collaborate.
Mid North Coast Human Services Alliance chairperson Dr Robbie Lloyd said they hoped through the forum to educate people about aged care, advocate for the changes needed to help improve aged care and collaborate to bring about change without overwhelming people.
Community and industry representatives are encouraged to attend.
The event runs from 4pm to 5.30pm on November 8 at the Mid North Coast NSW Business Chamber at suite 2, level 1, 146-148 Gordon Street.

The cost to attend the workshop is $15 a person.
