Weatherzone meteorologist Jacob Cronje said the region can expect hot temperatures as the working week ends.
“Generally we are going to be looking at temperatures in the low 30s and high 20s right through to the end of the week, the weekend and into next week,” Mr Cronje said.
“We are seeing warm air slowly build from inland and that is expected to move towards to the coast bringing warmer temperatures.
“With systems like these there will not be a lot of rain but has the potential for strong winds. Heatwave like conditions can also be expected as the weekend draws closer and it is expected the RFS will put out bushfire cautions.”
Mr Cronje said there will be a slight drop in temperatures on Sunday, November 4, but temperatures will then continue to rise.
“There will be a slight dip in temperatures on Sunday but only very temporarily,” he said.
“It will be a bit strange going from 31 degrees on Saturday to 25 degrees on Sunday back to 31 degrees on Monday but summer is coming.
“With the hot temperatures and winds we can also expect surf conditions to intensify with a southerly wind hitting the coast.”
He said the spike in hot weather is unusual but not rare.
“We are certainly moving into summer so more hot weather can be expected moving forward.
“This spike in hot weather is also not uncommon for this time of the year as the inland systems move outwards.”
