A PORT Macquarie couple got the fright of their life when a car ploughed into the front of their home on Saturday night.

The incident occurred at about 8.05pm on October 27 at the intersection of Annabella Drive and Eliza Circuit.
Inspector Mick Aldridge of Mid North Coast Police District said a 23 -year-old Port Macquarie woman driving a sedan lost control of her vehicle before hitting a brick wall and then the corner of the house.
“The occupants of the home were inside eating dinner at the time and rushed out to see what had happened,” Inspector Aldridge said.
Police, the State Emergency Service and NSW Fire and rescue were called.
The SES worked into the evening to prop up the home, providing support to the structure to prevent it from collapsing. The home sustained significant damage to the the walls, windows and framework.
Police spoke to the woman at the scene.
She was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital for treatment to minor injuries and mandatory blood and alcohol testing.
Police inquiries into the incident continue.
