Mental Health Month showcased the services available to help support you and your friends and family members.
The Mid North Coast Cup was a chance for the community to engage with mental health providers during the important awareness-raising month.
A round robin football competition was held, hosted by Neami National – an organisation dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing – in collaboration with other mental health providers on the Mid North Coast.
Mental Health Month shows how the community can unite and break down the stigma surrounding mental health, so that people do feel like they can talk about it and seek help and assistance if needed.
The Big Red Bus was on hand to provide a barbecue lunch, there were stalls and kids activities with Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams also getting behind the cause.
“All the research shows that improving mental health is just as important as physical health and events like this are great to bring the whole community together and help continue to breakdown the stigma surrounding mental health,” Mrs Williams said.
