MADELAINE Goodridge has smashed state and national records while competing at the NSW Combined High Schools Sports Association athletics championships.

The Camden Haven High School student has cerebral palsy and competed in the multi-class 12-15 years division.
She broke the national and state para records in the shot put with a distance of 5.36 metres. She came second.
Madelaine also finished fourth and broke the state record in the discus event.
In the long jump Madelaine was awarded gold with a distance of 2.63 metres.
In the track events Madelaine came seventh in the 100 metre distance and eighth for the 200 metres.
Madelaine’s mum Kate said she was very proud of her daughter.
“All her hard work has paid off,” she said.
Madelaine travels to Sydney once a month for training with her coach.
Her active lifestyle helps her manage the symptoms of her cerebral palsy. She is also a talented swimmer.
