Thanks to the generosity of the Co-op IGA, Hukabee Aust. (Meltique Beef) Vickers Fudge, Bakers Delight, Dave Reneke, Bob Nelson’s B&B, and Rotarians who did all the cooking and cleaning up.
Entertainers for the night were Lindsay (Waddo) Waddington, Ken (Chainsaw) Lindsay and Lex K and their bands. Waddo, Lex and their band members travelled from Surfers, and with Chainsaw, gave their services for free.
The crowd enjoyed the good food and entertainment, and the result was $4,000 raised on the night by way of ticket sales & raffles, some of which will go to our Drought Relief Project, and the rest towards other Rotary Humanitarian programmes.
I’d like to thank all who turned up and made it a terrific night of fun, laughter and dancing, which resulted in much-needed funds for Rotary’s ongoing commitment to serving our community.
Reg Pierce, Wauchope Rotary president
