Kendall Tennis Club president Wendy Hudson said the new full-size court and two small Hot Shots courts will enable the club to expand its training and competition programs, particularly for young people.
Construction at the site started on June 22 and Hudson said it is an exciting development for the 350 members.
The event starts at 4pm and once official proceedings are complete, about 100 players will take to the court.
“We would like as many club members, families and community to come to the opening,” Hudson said.
“You will have the opportunity to see our great junior program in full swing.”
The event will be attended by Tennis NSW chief executive Lawrence Robertson and president Wayne Pascoe from Sydney.
Local Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council mayor Peta Pinson will also be present.
Minister for Racing Paul Toole joined Member for Port Macquarie Leslie Williams in January to allocate $198,000 for the project.
