Two goals from captain Evie Bobilak and one to Riley Stone set the Phoenix on their way to a comprehensive 3-0 victory.
In doing so, the Phoenix became the first all-girls team to win a mixed division premiership.
Coach and president Ben White admitted it was a satisfying result for a club that was originally created to keep girls playing the game.
“This year, getting into the finals was our main aim, but we didn’t think we’d make the grand final,” he said.
White admitted the previous encounter between the two sides proved to be a learning curve for his side.
“The other team came down expecting to beat us because they won 2-0 the last time we played them,” he said.
“It was almost as if they came down just expecting to pick up their medals.”
As a result, the Phoenix will head to Newcastle in November to watch the Australian Matildas in their friendly clash with Chile.
They will be chaperoned by Jets W-League players, have a private box for the game and meet all the Matildas in the dressing rooms.
They will have a training session with the Jets and Matildas as well.
White said the recognition at that level ensured what the club had achieved in a short time had been worth it.
“They play a fast, attacking style of football that isn’t usually expected from girls,” White said.
“We wanted to show what girls could achieve when they were given more opportunities with decent coaches.”
