This weather pattern should also see showers continue through Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Meteorologist with weatherzone Craig McIntosh says the showers could also realise some thunderstorm activity across the region.
"Friday afternoon should see showers return with anywhere between 3 millimetres and up to 10mm," he said.
"The rainfall looks to be in pockets across the Port Macquarie-Hastings, so some areas could receive better falls.
"You should see a few clear spots on Saturday but there will be showers realising 1-5mm.
"It is possible that the showers will return late Saturday afternoon and evening but they should not be as heavy as Friday's forecast falls."
Sunday should remain relatively dry, he said.
Friday's maximum temperature is likely to climb to 23 degrees with Saturday and Sunday a few degrees cooler at 21.
Sunday could also see some fog patches inland, around the Wauchope, Kendall and Kew areas.
"The weather forecast from Sunday indicates some pretty nice, sunny weather and that is likely to continue through on Monday too," Mr McIntosh said.
"By Wednesday, the maximum temperature will climb back to the mid-20s.
"You can expect a pretty good run of good weather to follow."
The three day wind forecast from Saturday indicates some gusty winds from the south west.
