The Warriors finished the regular season in second spot, but fell short in last weekend’s clash with Tacking Point Thunder Omni.
They have a chance at securing a rematch should they get the job done against the Piranhas this weekend.
Captain Michelle Smith was confident a repeat of their performance from last week would be enough to get through.
“If the girls play as well as they did last week, they should do well,” Smith said.
The captain will miss the match due to a close friend’s wedding, but everyone else will be available.
Port City inflicted Wauchope’s one and only defeat of the season when the two team’s met a fortnight ago.
A few factors conspired against the Warriors with the match forming the second part of a double-header.
“It was good to get that loss out of the way before the finals and we’re pretty confident of getting the win this week,” Smith said.
“Physically the girls were there, but mentally they weren’t in that game.”
Saturday’s match starts at 1pm.
