Money raised will ensure children in our community can see Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show which has has been teaching children about personal safety in a fun, interactive and engaging way for more than a decade.
Louise Rakowski, committee member of Bravehearts Mid North Coast, has been involved for five years and said it’s a very worthy cause.
“We will pay for children to go and see the Ditto show. It’s important to get as many kids and families as possible to see it,” she said.
“I have two children who were abused (by someone else), and at the time I never realised it was such a common thing. It’s all about protecting the kids in our community, keeping them safe and letting families know there is help.”
Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show presents protective behaviour strategies for children in a fun and non-confrontational style with Ditto the friendly lion cub the star performer.
The performance is appropriately staged for child development in terms of the provision of a ‘character’ for younger children to relate to and Ditto cleverly uses his drama techniques to repeat and explain important information, interact, concept check and demonstrates how to keep safe.
Tickets for the trivia night are available at the door, or by calling Louise on 0414 485 502.
