Well if you do consider coming along to an Australia themed trivia night to help our farmers doing it tough on August 23 hosted by Hastings Rotaract.
Harley Lindley, president of Hastings Rotaract said the group are busily preparing for a great trivia night to help raise funds for farmers in Western New South Wales who are struggling due to the drought.
“We have all seen the Facebook posts about farmers who are struggling with the drought and as a club we wanted to do something to help our friends out west and thought who doesn’t love trivia,” Mr Lindley said.
“Our club is all about helping the community and right now the communities out west are in need of our help.
“We have been blown away by how much support for the event we are getting and hopefully it will be a great night.”
On the night trivia will begin around 7.30pm at The Lounge Room in Port Macquarie and it will be a gold coin donation to play, Mr Lindley said.
“We have some great raffle prizes from local businesses to give away as well as prizes for the best dressed farmer on the night,” he said.
“Also as 100 per cent of NSW was last week declared impacted by the drought it is now more important than ever to do what we can.
“We wanted to make the night a lot of fun so that we can raise as much money as possible.”
The Hastings community as a whole are also showing their support with a number of campaigns currently underway. To see how you can help click here.
