The 2018 Red and Blue Ball will be staged at Panthers Port Macquarie from 6.30pm on September 7.
Student Heart Project president Adam Lawes said people were getting behind the project to the raise funds.
The Student Heart Project raises funds for defibrillators in the community with the aim to make Port Macquarie and surrounding areas heart safe communities.
The ball will feature a two course dinner, musical entertainment from Chris Rose, a photographer, photo booth, raffles, games and prizes.
There has been strong support from the business community.
Organisers aim to attract 300 to 350 people to the ball.
A group of Charles Sturt University Port Macquarie Campus paramedic students are behind the initiative.
They are also boosting awareness about the importance of defibrillators in the community.
Student Heart Project secretary and director of sales Isabella Harrison said it all came together for one big night when they thanked everybody and they had a great time.
Proceeds from the ball go towards defibrillator purchases.
There are about 15 defibrillators in the community thanks to the Student Heart Project.
That has been achieved in four years with upward of $45,000 raised.
The Student Heart Project has expanded to 12 members in 2018.
Isabella said the project’s success reflected back on the community and how Port Macquarie wanted to be a heart safe community.
She said the Student Heart Project had raised awareness about the importance of defibrillators in the community.
“We’ve been able to raise awareness about the importance of those critical seconds and minutes in order to save lives,” Isabella said.
Tickets to the ball cost $60 per person.
