The Wallace sawmill in Bain Street provided much of the timber for the early buildings in Wauchope, including Jacaranda House.
The stylish, distinctive building was formerly the headquarters of the Hastings Co-op, and then became a hub for the town’s creative activities.
The building now has a studio for yoga and pilates classes, as well as therapy rooms, andthe Wellness Collective has its own Facebook page.
Naturopath Natalie Warburton and the other practitioners gave the Wauchope Gazette a tour around the refurbished building.
“It’s an amazing building in Wauchope. I’ve been thinking for a long time about getting a collection of practitioners together who were working for a common goal, for people’s health and wellness, and this is such a beautiful place to be,” said Natalie.
