Weatherzone meteorologist Jacob Cronje said the weekend ahead will be a great time to get out and about in the Hastings.
“As we have seen for the last few days, early morning temperatures will be very cold, no warmer than 5 degrees, but after the sun comes up people can expect temperatures in the high teens,” Mr Cronje said.
“This weekend we can expect absolutely stunning conditions in the middle of the day with very light, inland winds, and top temperatures of 19 degrees.
“Also the chance of rainfall is very slim so people should make the most of these great winter conditions and get out and about.”
Mr Cronje also said despite weather warnings in place for the east coast, Port Macquarie won’t feel the severe conditions.
“The only warning in place for Port Macquarie over the weekend is a strong wind warning which is expected to ease as the weekend goes on,” he said.
“There are strong winds off the coast which may help to cause strong surges at the beach but if so are expected to weaken as the weekend goes on.
“The swell on Saturday could reach 2-3m but will decrease on Sunday.
“That said, high tide will be well over 1m until at least the middle of next week so people should take care around the water at all times.”
