The exhibition is renowned for showcasing the vibrant creativity of artists on the Mid-North Coast.
On exhibition will be a cross-section of artistic practice, including sculpture, painting, printmaking, drawing, ceramics, mosaic and mixed media artworks.
Final selections for the coveted exhibition have been whittled down to just 59 artists, including the associations, Rita Carosi, Brian Barker, Jill Cairns, Bernice Daher, Beric Henderson, Linda Lockyer, Kim Madden, Roger Speaight, Kim Staples and Lyn Thomas.
Ms Carosi and Mr Barker said they were ecstatic to learn they were part of the exhibition.
"We both breathed a sigh of relief when we were notified about being accepted into the exhibition," Mr Barker said.
"As husband and wife, we have a bit of joke about how we would handle one being accepted and the other missing out.
"The process to be accepted includes putting forward your CV and an artist statement about the work you are nominating. They want to know about your art practice, the history of your skills and if you have studied.
"There is a panel of judges who then make the decision if your work is accepted or not.
"So, to finally be accepted makes you feel pretty good as an artist."
Ms Carosi said acceptance into the exhibition means that you are doing something right as an artist.
"It certainly gives you a boost. You are there, with your fellow artists. It is a big thing for me personally," she said.

- Rita Carosi
"Our attitude is, if you get chosen you are recognised for your skill level and that your work is of a high standard."
Mr Barker has been accepted into four exhibitions and Ms Carosi three.
The pair also praised the efforts of their fellow Hastings Valley Fine Art Association members who were also accepted into the exhibition.
"It is a credit to the association and its membership that we have eight members accepted in a total of just 59 artists," Mr Barker said.
A number of current and former members have forged strong careers in the art world including Julie Goldspink who is recognised as one of Australia's leading water colour exponents
Gordon Rossiter, Bob Smith, Gloria Muddle and Bill Odd - to name a few - are also highly recognised artists who have been members of the association.
Northern Exposure 5 is a cornerstone of the Glasshouse's program to support artists within the local community and provide professional development opportunities.
Northern Exposure is a biannual exhibition with a maximum of one submission per artist.
The official opening is on Friday July 13, at 6pm with the viewing dates from July 14 until September 9.
