And time is running out for Hastings residents to lodge a vote.
Melissa Barnes, coordinator of support at Centacare, said filmmakers were given a brief to tell stories that focused on the ability of people with a disability.
“Bago Magic’s entry, a five-minute short film titled ’I Am’, focused its theme around the hopes and dreams of the participants,” Melissa said.
“The footage was filmed over several weeks, both at Bago Magic headquarters in Centacare’s Bourne House and at various locations around Port Macquarie, depending on the aspiration of the participant.
“Congratulations to everyone who participated in this short film, I am so proud of you all and your amazing performances.
“A big thanks also goes out to everyone who helped with the film – your hard work and commitment has helped make this dream come true for our Bago Magic Group.
“It would mean the world to Bago Magic to win some of the great prizes on offer so we really need the community to get behind them and vote.”
Anyone who votes is in the running to win a $50 iTunes voucher but you can only vote once in each category.
Voting closes at midnight Tuesday, July 3.
