In the annual event, Port held on to claim a 101-98 victory over their rivals from the south.
Port Macquarie Old Boys finished third ahead of Forster in fourth, then the Vintage Bodyboard Collectors and the ladies.
Port Macquarie Bodyboarding Association president Clayton Pickworth said they finished runners-up last year when Cronulla took out the event after a small hiatus.
“They missed one or two years before last year and then it was the first year back last year,” he said.
Conditions were perfect for competition on Saturday before the swell dropped off on Sunday.
“It was a solid three foot and really groomed and perfect offshore winds on Saturday,” Pickworth said.
“Lighthouse was smoking all day; it was so good for bodyboarding.
“It was just barreling everywhere and the level of riding was amazing; no-one was holding back and everyone was doing big moves.”
Sam Bennett, Jones Russell and Brodey Brockman were the stars for Port Macquarie with Bennett winning every heat on Sunday.
“There was only four heats on Sunday that Port Macquarie didn’t win,” Pickworth said.
“Everyone played their part.”
The PMBA president was hopeful they could get a few more teams enter the event next year.
“Hopefully we can get a few more teams next year so we can run over the entire three days,” he said.
