Daley, along with Blues greats Tim Brasher, Steve Menzies and Josh Perry will cast their eye over the final Port Macquarie Sharks training session of the week.
It’s all part of the state government’s “Knock-On Effect” campaign which focuses on the ripple effects of road trauma on local communities.
It encourages drivers to make smarter and safer choices behind the wheel.
Daley was looking forward to his visit to the Hastings.
“It’s great the opportunity we get to go out to country areas and support people out here,” he said.
“We know they enjoy their football and like being involved with the people in the sport so for us to be able to come and have a yarn and say g’day – it’s terrific.
“A lot of the guys that go on and play rugby league in the NRL and play at the highest level are from the country.”
The evening will start from 5pm and wrap up with a meet and greet barbecue around 7.30pm.
“We’ll have a bit of a chat with the locals; it’s very important for us to be able to give something back,” Daley said.
