A promotion and celebration of women, generations of ladies came together to talk, eat and relax taking part in a variety of activities on May 4.
The festival was opened with a traditional smoking ceremony that was attended by Port Macquarie-Hastings mayor Peta Pinson and Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams.
Organiser Rhonda Radley said turn out on the day was spectacular and everyone had a great time in the gorgeous weather.
“I am blown away by how many people came to the festival, and looking around at everyone enjoying themselves it is just fantastic to see so many women coming together,” Ms Radley said.
“The weather has been fantastic and it has been a very relaxing, laid back day.
“We have had workshops for people to learn traditional dance, language, weaving, art and story telling along with massage and nail painting.
“Yoga, zumba and meditation throughout the day has also been really popular with everyone with women across the generations mixing and sharing stories, thoughts and experiences.”
Festival attendee Charlotte Miller said her favourite part was the henna.
“It was been a really good day, I had my face painted and I got henna on my hand which was awesome and the food was really good as well,” Charlotte said.
