The road was closed so the council could replace the Bulli Creek Bridge.
Comboyne Road currently has traffic control conditions in place at the Bulli Creek Bridge with reduced speed limit (40 Roadworks).
The bridge crossing is reduced down to single lane only to allow contractor to complete minor finishing works over the coming weeks.
As such, the Bagnoo Road detour is no longer required for residents. Traffic control signage along the Bagnoo Road installed for the detour has now been removed.
Bulli Creek Bridge had reached the end of its service life, with the council committing to replace the existing one-lane timber bridge with a new single span reinforced two-lane concrete bridge.
The overall aim was to provide a more reliable and safer route along Comboyne Road for current and future road users.
The replacement of Bulli Creek Bridge followed on from the recent replacement of Hyndmans Creek Bridge.
The 10-day shutdown of Comboyne Road was needed to complete the works, with the demolition of the existing bridge, installation of pre-stressed concrete girders, installation of barrier kerbs and barrier railing, asphalt and road approach works.
