With 60 sites set up in and around the CBD, organisers were ecstatic with the turnout.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's group manager community place Lucilla Marshall praised the creativity of the art on show and the response from the community.
"This was just our third Artwalk. Our original event attracted 18 sites and it is very exciting to see this community engagement event grow so quickly," she said.
"The streets were buzzing all night and there were many people in and around all the sites.
"This year's Artwalk included digital projects, art exhibitions, interactive artworks, a sand art digital display and community projects.
"There was certainly something for everyone."
Ms Marshall said Artwalk is designed to provide artists the opportunity to interact with the public across any number of mediums.
That concept includes the community participating in art classes, drawing on the ground, interacting with professional artists while they painted and joining in on art or craft projects.
There was certainly something for everyone.

The group manager said one of the features of the 2018 event was the sand art performances where the works were digitally enhanced onto a wall.
"That was very exciting to see," she said.
Another popular event was the hourly light display on the Glasshouse, while there were several examples of illumination art works across the Town Green.
There were also performances under the fig trees, youth space and local live artists performing.
Ms Marshall said Artwalk had something to see in just about every shopfront or shop window.
"It is a very cool way to get art into these businesses and generate interest into the CBD," she said.
Artwalk is an annual event.
