Emergency services were called to the Burrawong Drive incident about 4pm.
A garage wall of the brick home was destroyed, but minimal damage was done to the van.
It is believed handbrake failure was to blame for the ordeal.
Home owners Brian and Michelle Hancock were relieved no one was hurt in the accident.
Mr Hancock was inside the house and heard the van smash into his home.
Mrs Hancock returned home from work to see the damage.
"We're insured but it will be a major hassle to repair damage," Mrs Hancock said. "These things happen."
Police, Fire and Rescue NSW Port Macquarie, State Emergency Service and tow trucks helped remove the van from the crumbled brick garage.
There were no injuries and charges have not been laid.
