Former classmates Neroli Reid and Michael Townsend are organising an informal reunion at Port City Bowl Club on February 24 and 25 for former students to come and reconnect with their classmates.
The reunion of February 24 will be a meet up and initial catch up before nibbles and drinks on the Saturday night.
“It is the first time we as a cohort will have gotten together in any sort of capacity in over 30 years so it will be a great chance for us to come together and reminisce about those school days,” Ms Reid said.
“We know a lot of our classmates may still live locally but have friends who have moved away and we are wanting to let as many people as possible know about the reunion so they can come.”
Mr Townsend said the informal two night event will be a relaxed chance to mingle with former classmates.
“People may have lost touch with friends over the years to the reunion is a way to come together and think back on the good days,” Mr Townsend said.
“I know the school has changed so much since we were there and I am sure we all have as well so it will be fun to meet everyone again.
“And yes we will be supplying name badges as some of us might be unrecognisable after 50 years.”
The Port High 50 year reunion will be on February 24 and 25 at the Port City Bowling Club, there is no need to RSVP but for more information contact Neroli Reid on 0488 060 755 or Michael Townsend on 0481 193 310.
