Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton Station commander Les King said his crew, Mid North Coast Local Area Command and NSW Ambulance attended the incident. Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also called to assist.
Mr King said they were alerted by members of the public who saw something red and white on North Brother Mountain and believed it to be a paraglider who had crashed.
Mr King said there were two separate calls made by members of the public to emergency services.
Fire and Rescue NSW Laurieton Station members were called out twice to assist in the incident.
Mr King said the crew searched for about two hours but never found anything.
He thanked members of the public for assisting.
