There is a hum of activity coming from the local team of the National Australia Bank as they get ready for their annual fundraiser day.
For the sixth year running, NAB has partnered with Camp Quality to raise funds to help them to continue their support of local children and their families who live with cancer.
Since teaming up, NAB has raised over $3.3 million dollars across NSW/ACT for Camp Quality.
The NAB team at Port Macquarie have more than played their part. Last year, the team raised $29,000 which all went to help local families and this year aims to raise $20,000 towards Calls for a Cause.
The success of the team is only possible due to the generosity of their clients and their belief in creating a better quality of life for kids living with cancer.
The team will be hitting the phones to raise donations on November 16, and these generous contributions will help local children impacted by cancer and their families through Camp Quality’s Junior Camp and Primary School Education Program.
So why not pop into the Horton Street Branch on November 16, anytime from 10.00am until midday and take part.
You can also grab yourself a cuppa and meet the new local leaders Corey Beeton and Shane McKinnon.
Born and raised on the Mid North Coast, Corey is the new Regional Manager leading the Business Banking division which spans from Bulahdelah to Macksville and everywhere in between.
There is nothing better than knowing you've helped a customer succeed.
- Corey Beeton, Business Banking Executive, NSW Mid North Coast
His team of nineteen, he tells us, all live and work in the local area and like nothing better than building great relationships and helping their customers succeed.
“Walking down the street and seeing a business you’ve helped to expand is what drives us.”
Corey says they are a team who like to say yes. Fully empowered to make fast and direct decisions, they do everything they can to make doing business together simple and easy.
When not at work he has been enjoying the beautiful Port Macquarie lifestyle and at the end of the day going home to his wife and two-year-old son, who “always brings a smile to my face.”
Many locals will already know Shane McKinnon, Shane grew up and began his banking career here.
His work has taken him to Western Australia and outback New South Wales.
For Shane returning to Port, leading the retail banking team at the Laurieton, Wauchope, Port Macquarie, Kempsey and South West Rocks branches is something he is really proud of.
“We’re here to help our customers by making banking easy and personal,” says Shane.
“Helping our team, our customers and our communities to be their best is what it is all about.”
For Shane, the weekends are spent indulging his love of sport, family and friends.
