Splendour coordinator Fleur Eichler said that all students have been doing their best to ensure their performance will be perfect.
“Students and teachers have been working really hard to put the show together, and as we put the final touches on the show it is all coming together,” Mrs Eichler said.
The show, will test the musical knowledge of members in the audience, from Michael Jackson and Neil Diamond to Elvis, and everything in between.
Each class will be performing with every student involved in the production and Mrs Eichler said that it will be a real celebration of the school.
“The whole production is a collaboration between students and teachers, and will showcase the best Westport Public School has, combining art, drama and music,” she said.
“Every students will be on stage at some point during the show and as a school we are really excited that this year we will be performing at the Glasshouse for the first time, so that all our families and friends can come and watch what will be a great show,” she said.
“The theme of the show is music history so we are weaving some music history facts through the show, which, during the year have been incorporated into the curriculum, which means students are learning as well as having fun performing on stage.”
The show, Splendour presents Rockwiz will be performed on October 26 at the Glasshouse in Port Macquarie.
