The development, called Kensington Park, will have a focus on people rather than cars.
The design of the townhouses, with views of parkland and gardens, will encourage residents to make the most of the shared open space.
LJ Hooker Port Macquarie sales consultant Greg Laws said the townhouses would appeal to buyers including investors and first home buyers.
Progress on the site can be seen from the Oxley Highway but the development’s entry will be off Nottingham Drive.
The 24 townhouses will be a mix of two and three bedroom properties.
Mr Laws said the development was located in an area experiencing growth patterns, quite close to Lake Innes Village Shopping Centre, Charles Sturt University, St Columba Anglican School and Port Macquarie Base Hospital.
