Zonta Club of Port Macquarie helps Nepal project

The Zonta Club of Port Macquarie Inc. presented a cheque for $1250 to Dr Ray Hodgson for his Australian’s for Women’s Health project in Nepal.

Dr Hodgson will be in Nepal this month to check on progress of the mothers and babies hospital and to train local doctors.

President Margaret Bateman said, “The donation was made possible by the success of our Birthing Kit Assembly Project and the generous support of sponsors.”

“We take this opportunity to thank once again: KFC Port Macquarie, Ramsay Health (Port Macquarie Private Hospital), 5-Star Medical Centre, Hermitage Dental, Virginia’s Apothecare, John and Helen Ross, Paul and Mary McCarthy.

“We are also grateful for the support of the community.

We hope to have another event next year.
