For many of us, it’s the culmination of eight months worth of hard work which starts in the heat of summer.
But those tough training sessions are where competitions are won and fitness levels are improved.
It’s no different at the Port City Breakers and I know our first graders will be ready to go come 3pm on Sunday.
We know we won’t have it all our own way against an ad-lib footy side in Macleay Valley who thrive off playing razzle-dazzle.
I’m confident in our ability that if we stick to our structures and everything that has worked for us so far this season it should be enough.
Sunday will be farewell to a club captain and five-eighth Benny Stewart and hopefully we can get the job done and send him out the way he deserves.
A quick congratulations also to our girls who, like us, will aim for back-to-back premierships.
Success on Sunday morning for them will be well deserved.
See you at the game.
