Some final drills on ‘toss ups”, defending and shooting, then on to a modified netball game, where one team had to get the ball from one end of the court to the other, while the other team tried to stop them.
High fives all round at the conclusion of the ‘game’, where the teams shook hands demonstrating the great sportsmanship that they had also learnt throughout the 10-week program.
HVNA coaching co-ordinator Michelle Marino addressed the parents, thanking them for allowing their children to participate in this great introduction to netball.
“You’ve made the right choice.”
Net Set Go co-ordinator, Bec Webb and her assistant coaches, Rachel and Natalie, thoroughly enjoyed their time introducing the program to our newest netballers.
“I enthusiastically sent my co-ordinator application through to HVNA, wondering how I would convince Natalie and Rachel to help me out,” she said.
“In the end no begging was required, and we’ve also had a fantastic time.”
To express their appreciation, the girls presented Bec, Rachel and Natalie with some lovely flowers at the conclusion of the program and enthusiastically accepted their participation certificates.
