The family of little Georgia Lawson, who died tragically in an accident two years ago, gathered to remember her, beside her little friends and educators.
The children at TG’s Child Care in Riverbreeze in Wauchope sang Georgia’s favourite song, “Twinkle, twinkle, little star”.
Then everyone released pink balloons, some with stars on them.
It was a short, simple ceremony on Tuesday July 25, to support Tom and Lana Lawson and their little boy, Lane, and they appreciated it very much.
“In remembering their daughter, we aim to make this an annual tradition, and support our goals in building relationships within the community,” said Gayle Kee, general manager of TG’s Riverbreeze.
The owners have created a special section of the outdoor play space, called ‘Georgia’s Garden’ as a sanctuary. It’s a space for children to sit and read, sing, reflect, and be mindful in.
They are redesigning the playground and renovating Georgia’s garden to enhance and beautify what is already there – a special place in memory of a very special little girl.
