Wauchope emerged with a 17-15 victory after scores were locked at 15-all at full-time.
Hastings had already overcome a 13-6 half-time deficit to lead 13-12 at the final change.
Defence was high on the agenda, but the game was fast and defensive and both teams had a player fouled out in the last quarter.
The boys can hold their heads high knowing they played to the best of their ability.
They played as a team and encouraged each other all the way. A great show of sportsmanship.
Coach Mrs Brest is a bit disappointed but extremely proud as she feels with a few more games they would be a hard team to beat. Well done boys.
