Excellent fishing conditions saw six boats with 16 fisherpersons on board venturing out to sea.
Pardoe was a stalward for the club for many years and the day is held each year to honour her work for the club.
Kate Shelton amassed 16.24 points to take out the prestigious trophy and hot on her heels was Mitch Lowe with 11.86 points.
Lowe had a successful day, with his boat, labelled ‘The Wrecker’ scored an impressive 30.22 points and the runner-up was ‘Tame Thing’ skippered by Peter Tame with 9.84 points.
The Mid Coast Marine award for the heaviest catch was won by Kate Shelton with 16.24 points.
The best Morwong was a tie between Vince Chapman and Lyn Fatches and the best of other species went to Geoff Shelton with a Mack Tuna tipping the scales at 5.22 kilograms.
Most species award was won by Kate Shelton with four species and the secret weight went to Alan Fatches.
The Blue Water Club junior award was not contested and the raffle was won by Kevin Quilligan. The club’s marble draw was won by Jim Fischer.
The clubs barbecue and weigh-in commenced at noon and was very well supported by members, families and friends.
Fish that greeted the weigh-master included Kingfish, trag, snapper, pigfish, pearl perch, morwong and flathead.
The club’s next outing will be held on June 4 and anyone wishing to join the club or attend the weigh-ins and barbecue are most welcome.
