On March 16, they held their sixth birthday celebrations.
Members from other clubs shared the day with them, plus representatives from the RSL, the Sub-Branch and Dept of Veterans Affairs.
All enjoyed the live entertainment and the meal supplied by Reflections restaurant, with lots of lucky door and raffle prizes being won.
The birthday cake, decorated this year in yellow and white was cut by Bill Wagner (RSL sub-branch), Brenda Foster and May Sale.
On April 13, the club held its Easter Hat Parade with prizes for the best hats.
Winners included Fay Dixon and Ken Kitchen.
“Members spent a lot of time and effort in producing their masterpieces making it very difficult for the judge,” said Barbara Pead from the club.
The Broken Bago Day Club meets each Thursday at 10am in the Wauchope RSL Club.
Entry is just $2 to help support the running of the Club.
All adults in the community are invited to come along and join in their activities which include: gentle exercise, quizzes and games and raffles.
“We also have special theme days, guest speakers, entertainers and the occasional bus trip,” added Barbara.
You don’t have to be a member of the RSL to join the club.
