It’s the day of the 11th annual Mayor’s Sporting Fund Bowls Day Challenge at Port City Bowling Club.
Mayor Peter Besseling will be there rolling the odd bowl down the green and he’s encouraging everyone else to do likewise.
Registrations are now open with a barbecue lunch to take place from 12pm with the first bowl to be sent down at 1pm.
All proceeds will go directly to the Mayors Sporting Fund.
Over the last 10 years the fund has been able to contribute more than $30,000 to help develop local sporting talent through the generosity of local businesses and community groups.
Entry for a team of four is $120 and can be made online at http://www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/Lists/Event-amp-Activities/11th-Annual-Mayors-Sporting-Fund-Pycon-Homes-Bowls-Day-Challenge or over the counter at the Glasshouse.
Registrations close on April 5 unless sold out before.
Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed team, best toes and fanciest feet.
