Tuesday, 3.40pm: One southbound lane has reopened on the Pacific Highway south of Port Macquarie at Ryan’s Road as the clean-up and investigation continues after a two-car crash.
However, one southbound lane remains closed.
Traffic is still heavy, so motorists should continue to allow additional travel time and expect delays.
Motorists are also advised to exercise caution.
Emergency services and traffic crews remain at the scene and crash investigators are also attending.
Tuesday, 3pm: A woman believed to be in her teens is trapped in her vehicle after a two car accident on the Pacific Highway south of Port Macquarie on Tuesday, February 28.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the accident occurred at about 2.20pm on the Pacific Highway in the Lake Innes area near Ryan’s Road.
The young woman is trapped in her vehicle and emergency services are on scene attempting to release her.
Paramedics are also assisting two people in the second car.
All emergency services are on scene and the Pacific Highway’s southbound lanes are currently closed.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been called.
All northbound lanes remain open.
Motorists are advised to delay their trip as traffic is currently being held at the site.
Motorists already in the area should allow plenty of extra time and expect delays as traffic is heavy.
