All young L-platers aged between 16 to 25 are encouraged to join, particularly those struggling to complete the compulsory driving hours for whatever reason. Trained L2P mentors will assist learner drivers to complete their 120 hours driving experience, enabling them to apply for their P1 licence.
Learner drivers will have access to a dedicated L2P vehicle thanks to funding from Port Macquarie Lions Club and Port Macquarie Neighbourhood Centre. The program also has strong partnerships with Port Macquarie Holden, Transport For NSW, and Keen to Drive Driving School to ensure ongoing, future success of the L2P program.
An information session will be held on Thursday, March 2, at Port Macquarie Neighbourhood Centre for interested learners, their carers or support workers. Attendance is compulsory for consideration into the program. For more information or to book into this session, please contact the Neighbourhood Centre on 6584 1914.
