CSU Vice-Chancellor Professor Andrew Vann said the official campus opening was the culmination of a long and rewarding process.
There was a $27 million investment from the university and a $20 million investment from the federal government.
Professor Vann acknowledged the support of Cowper MP Luke Hartsuyker, Lyne MP David Gillespie, former Lyne MP Rob Oakeshott, mayor Peter Besseling and North Coast TAFE’s Elizabeth McGregor.
Mr Hartsuyker officially opened the campus.
He said regional universities were not only central to educational advancement but central to economic prosperity in regional centres.
