It is a development competition of four teams for each age group where Lister will be in the under 16s and Wootton to play in the under 18s.
Players have been selected from the top metro and country representative teams in the state.
It will be Wootton’s second year in the development league.
“After last year I had a whole new view on the game,” he said.
“I brought back some really good skills and knowledge last year which definitely helped with my own game.”
Lister will experience his first four-week period in the development league.
“I have heard I should expect a fast-paced intensity and high quality games,” he said.
“You focus on improving your game awareness and bringing that sort of knowledge back to your club.
“I probably need to improve on my dribbling a bit, so I’m hopeful I can work on that over the next four weeks.”
The players will play at the Northern Beaches at Warriewood on October 16, 23 and 30 before a finals round will be at Bankstown on November 6.
