Lees intends to run Taree Cup winner Olympic Academy and may also back up Wyong Cup winner Slow Pace which was due to run in the Group Three Craven Plate at Randwick on Friday.
“Olympic Academy will definitely run with Aaron Bullock to ride him,” Lees said.
Bullock rode him when he won the Taree Cup while Brenton Avdulla was aboard when he ran a disappointing last in the Wyong Cup.
Tommy Berry then took over when he ran sixth in the Newcastle Cup, beaten only slightly more than three lengths.
“I thought he ran a creditable race in Newcastle and has done well since,” Lees said.
“There is a chance I will back up Slow Pace but it will depend on how he races on Saturday and how he recovers.”
