It forced the race to be shortened from four laps down to one and the run-out tide just made it even harder.
After pulling in on the North Shore and going for a walk around while waiting for the wind to come back in, Tony Kuhn on “Stella” still won on both yardstick and handicap ahead of Dave Winter on “Spica”.
Terry Howard in “Ratz” was first on yardstick followed by Tony Walker in “Deep Purple”, Jeff Walsh and Michael Jones in “Big Bang”, Simon Gandy and Zac Jeffries in “Voyager”, and Steve and Caleb Bohlsen in “Splash Dance”.
The handicap results were “Deep Purple”, “Ratz”, “Big Bang”, “Voyager”, and “Splash Dance”.
Next Sunday is race four of the spring series and will be a handicap start.
Dave Winter is rostered on duty.
