They’ll hope there isn’t a repeat of the wet and wild weather which saw the finals of the AAMI Country Championships postponed in Wollongong last month.
The Dolphins will tackle Central Coast Centurions for the inaugural title after they both took out their respective semi-finals in Dubbo last month.
Coach Scott Jacklin said both Smith and Wilbow brought different abilities to the team.
“Jaz chases really well and has an extremely high workrate,” he said.
“Simone plays a lot of off-the-cuff footy and brings that flare to the side.”
Jacklin expects the Central Coast side to be a tough opponent who move the ball well.
The key to winning the inaugural ladies league tag trophy was to play mistake-free.
“It would be nice to take it out,” Jacklin said.
The coach said the Dolphins win earlier in the competition over the Greater Southern Stars had provided them with a lot of confidence.
“They were probably the premiership favourites so it was a really good win for the girls,” he said.
The final kicks off at 12.05pm on Saturday at Cessnock Sportsground.
