A MAN has died after an accident on the Pacific Highway involving four cars on Sunday.

It is the second fatality in the Telegraph Point area over the weekend.
The 32-year-old man was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a critical condition but later died as a result of his serious injuries.
The accident occurred at about 8.50pm on the highway near Blackman’s Point when, according to police, a motorist attempted to overtake a B-double truck while travelling northbound.
As a result, the car has collided head-on with another vehicle in the southbound lane. The southbound vehicle then crossed into the northbound lane colliding with a white Hyundai.
Ten people were taken to hospital as a result of the collision. A 33-year-old woman, 32-year-old man, nine-year-old girl, six-year-old girl, four-year-old boy and 16-month-old baby were all treated and later discharged.
A 37-year-old woman remains in a stable condition while a 22-year-old woman and 28-year-old woman were discharged on Monday afternoon.
An investigation into the crash is underway and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old Wallsend man was killed and two others injured when a car collided with a tree at Telegraph Point on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to the accident at about 9pm on Hacks Ferry Road, following reports a Toyota Hilux utility had hit a tree.
The 36-year-old male driver was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital by Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service suffering rib and abdominal injuries.
A spokesperson for the hospital said the man was listed in a stable condition on Sunday morning.
The third passenger, a 28-year-old man from Telegraph Point was conveyed to Port Macquarie Base Hospital with minor injuries.
Officers from the Mid North Coast Local Area Command and the Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene.
